Green America Recycling operates a drum processing program that involves liquid drum pumping, sludge/resin and debris physical removal. Sludges and resins that are found to be dispersible are processed with the new drum auger and hydropulping equipment. The Waste Fuels Division utilizes a newly constructed 1500 drum storage building that aids in both plant efficiency and throughput capacity. The liquids and solids that are generated by the drum program are further processed in accordance with the existing proven bulk programs protocols. Dry Solid Fuel Program The dry solid fuel program consists of off-loading, storage and materials preparation for debris-like solids and monoliths, originating from both bulk received shipments and decontainerized debris contents from drums and boxes. Materials preparation involves sorting, blending, and particle sizing performed by a series of shredding and metal separation equipment. Acceptable materials for this program include: rags, paper, plastic, wood, polymerized resins, carbon, spent PPE, etc. Liquid Fuel Program The liquid fuel program consists of off-loading, blending and storage of liquid fuel material originating from both bulk received shipments (truck or rail) and pumped liquid drums. The Waste Fuels Division's tank farm utilizes six 25,000-gallon receiving tanks and two 75,000-gallon burn tanks. As mentioned, the dispersible program depends upon liquids stored within the tank farm to be used as a diluent for dispersing the solids whether in the ball mill or the hydropulper. Acceptable materials for this program includes solvents, paints, degreasers, oils, alcohols, off-spec products, etc. |
